She grew up in Da Lat and later in Saigon, South Vietnam, before settling in Sanford, Florida. She showed unwavering resilience, gentle determination, and an enduring commitment to both her family and her Catholic beliefs throughout her life. She was married to Colonel (Retired) Bang Doan of the South Vietnamese Air Force, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Le was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a woman whose life embodied sacrifice, perseverance, and grace in the face of war, hardship, and change. She found joy in gardening, farming, and nurturing life from the earth, cherishing the memories made with her family and friends.
Her family remembers her as a protective and selfless presence who always placed her children and loved ones first. A faithful Catholic, she drew strength from prayer and her faith. A tender moment was that she took her last breath after hearing her grandchild, Jonathan, said, "I love you, Grandma."
Her legacy includes five sons; Tuan, Son, Long, Toai, and Tam; four daughters-in-law; Karen, Helen, Suzy, and Linda; eight grandchildren; Thomas, Jonathan, Rebecca, Christian, Tuyet An, Mischa, Esme, and Elan; as well as four brothers and five sisters who continue to remember and love her. The legacy of love, faith, and devotion she left behind will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
