David Paul Meyers

David Paul Meyers, 86, died April 19, 2017, peacefully at home in Lake Mary, Florida. He is survived by his four children: David A. Meyers, John R. Meyers, Lynda R. Meyers, and Ben L. Meyers and their families.

Dave was born in San Diego, California to William L. Meyers and Mary (Maria Padilla) Meyers. He played football in High School in California, graduating in 1949. He joined the Airforce and was stationed overseas during the Korean War and then in Texas where he met Virginia.

He has resided in Florida since the early 1970’s and was an avid real estate investor and golfer. Dave was an active member of Westview Baptist Church in Sanford and the Gideons. He was the Regional Vice President for American Bakeries (Merita Bread), and served the community with Wayne Densch Charities.

He married Virginia Gaye LaMance on April 19, 1951, in Texas. Their 66th wedding anniversary would have been April 19th 2017, which is the day he passed away. He was pre-deceased by his wife Virginia Gaye (LaMance) Meyers and his two brothers William A. and Frank R. Meyers.

The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers from The Hospice of the Comforter, Westview Baptist Church, friends, family and especially son Ben, who made his life more enjoyable and passing more peaceful.
