Don,  I cannot fully explain how grateful I’ve been to have you in our lives. You’ve always treated Stephanie & I like kids of your own. 

I’ve loved joking around with you about the Bears vs Packers, having a beer together & watching whatever sports that we’re on TV together. I’ve thought of our relationship as a good buddy of mine! 

My daughters also love playing with & facetiming their Papa! You’ve always been such a “silly goose” to them.

Most importantly, I’d like to thank you for being in my mom’s life. It felt as if the Lord sent the perfect man into my mom’s life 20 years ago. As you know, my mom has worked two jobs & put her children first her entire life… there was a time when “dating” wasn’t a priority for her. You came into her life at the perfect time & have made her SO happy! I still picture the smiles on both of your faces’ on your wedding day. I can’t explain how truly happy I was for the two of you that day. But not just that day… you two have had 20 years and a happy marriage together! That’s truly a blessing. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

You'll always be with us and my mom EVERY DAY. We’ll carry you in our hearts with us throughout the rest of our lives. You’ll always be a good buddy, my father-in-law, Papa and our angel. 

We love you, Don. And when I get to Heaven, we’ll have a beer together.

Life just isn’t the same without you here. Without all your jokes, witty sense of humor, and love for our family. 

I’ll never be able to thank you enough for making “the mama” so incredibly happy. Your love and companionship is so deeply missed by her. Thank you for helping raise us and be a constant source of support and encouragement over the past 20 years. You loved us as your own and we are forever grateful! 

The kids sure miss their papa! But I promise to always keep your memory alive for them by sharing what a great man you were. 

I know you’re up there smiling, tossing a couple Heineken back, and probably enjoying a portillos combo!

The Donald you are greatly missed. I'll never forget your laugh, it was unique as it was genuine. I've  always enjoyed spending time with you and am grateful you came into  our lives and I  have always considered you a brother. I am so happy and thankful to the joy you brought into my sisters life. I'll never forget the great time we had on the New Years 2017  cruise  drinking bucket after bucket of Heinekens  , RIP my friend until we meet again Love Earl and Caroline

Don, We all miss you down here, from the first day I met you I knew you were what this family was missing, I am very proud to call you not just my brother in-law but a true "Brother of mine" and a member of this family, I always enjoyed talking with you about sports and a passion we both shared, the coaching of kids sports, you were a true expert, I will never forget your passion, honesty, and you distinct laugh or your chuckle, I may have never said this, but you were a person that I always looked up to, A person that had the abilities to look past the bad and always find the good and kindness life brings,  Don, you are missed, rest in peace with no more pain! Love you always!

Don was a wonderful man. We knew many years ago when we first met him that he would be a wonderful addition to our family. He had a great sense of humor, but was always willing to have a serious conversation about anything.  At family functions and holidays, he always made it a point to ask our kids how school was going, or work, or the sports that they played. He showed genuine interest in their lives and that was such a sweet thing to witness. But that's the kind of man he was. We will miss you Don!

Don you are missed & loved so very much. I miss calling you just to say hi & or  texting!   You were & are the best Brother ever!!!

There are no words to describe what a wonderful, loving ,caring husband you have been to me. You weren't just a husband to me, you were everything to me.
