Hiram Gonzalez

Hiram Gonzalez, of Utuado, Puerto Rico passed away on Wednesday March 3, 2021 after reaching the age of 86 years old. He died peacefully within his home in Sanford, Florida with his beloved wife of 62 years Maria Luisa Gonzalez by his side. Hiram was the son to the late Santiago Gonzalez and Angelina Garcia.

Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his children, Luis E. Gonzalez; daughter, Maria Gonzalez and husband Willie; grandchildren, Paola, Diego, Sergio, and Andres Alvarez; his nephew Enrique and wife Marisol; his nephew Ricardo and wife Arlene; his niece Xaymara and husband Carlos; and by his sister Gloria.

Hiram retired from the U.S. Department of Labor Veteran’s Affairs. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a wise man who led his family during good and bad times. His story telling abilities amused and entertained those who knew him. Helping others along his life was a testimony of his goodness. He was a kind gentle man that bless others by his walk in life. He will be missed, but we are rejoiced knowing that he is now with God.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM at All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford, FL. He will be laid to rest at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mimms, FL.
