

Born on April 24, 1939, Karen lived a full and rich life marked by curiosity, connection, and a strong sense of home. She and her husband of almost 40 years, Mark Hamilton, shared decades of international travel, enjoying new cultures and experiences across the globe. She found great joy in bringing people together, hosting and welcoming friends and family for dinners, holidays, and casual get-togethers.
Karen enjoyed a long, successful career in real estate beginning in the 80s, where she helped countless individuals and families find homes of their own. Her work was both personally fulfilling and professionally respected.
Karen was a voracious reader with a sharp intellect and a love for conversation. She was well known for sharing her favorite titles with friends and family.
Karen and Mark spent many happy years in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, where they built their dream home with a beautiful view of Mt. Monadnock. Later, they settled in Port Charlotte and North Port, Florida, continuing to enjoy travel and family visits. In her final years, Karen lived in Sanford, Florida, with her sister Judy and near her nephew, Daniel.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mildred Kaminski, and her brothers, Peter and John. She is survived by her sister Judy Oman; her son Edward (Rosa) Blake; her daughter Sarah (Loren Haase) Carrillo; her stepdaughters Sara (Lee Pearson) Hamilton and Mary Hamilton; her nephew Daniel (Caroline) Oman, grandchildren Samuel, Benjamin, Christian, Mya, and Taya and great-grandchild Hendrix.
A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen’s memory to Rescue Garage - a nonprofit animal rescue -in North Port, Florida where she adopted her beloved puppy Coco.
