

Ray S. Miles, 89, left us peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Lake Mary, Florida. He was born on February 10, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, where he spent his early years and developed the foundations of his faith, intellect, and musical talent.
A devout Catholic, Ray lived a deeply spiritual life guided by faith, generosity, and compassion. He was known by family and friends as caring, loving, and endlessly giving, always offering kindness to those around him.
In addition to being a gifted and accomplished musician, Ray was also a dedicated math teacher, a role that reflected both his sharp mind and his desire to help others learn and succeed.
Ray excelled in both piano and accordion, and his musical talent carried him around the world as a professional performer. He traveled extensively, performing on cruise ships and at well-known venues including Disney and Universal Studios. Among the highlights of his musical career, it was said that he once accompanied the Norman Luboff Choir, a testament to his immense skill.
Whether through teaching, performing, or simply being present for others, Ray shared his gifts freely. His life was defined by faith, service, and a deep love for family and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Vera Miles, and his sisters, Helen Pisarski and Christine Miller.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
