Richie was born in Rockefeller Centre, New York on April 10, 1969. He graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 1986. Richie spent most of his working life in the restaurant business, but his pride and joy was owning his restaurant “Daily News Deli & Grille.
Richie was a devoted father whose greatest joy in life was his children-Nick, Matt, and Olivia. Everything he did was for them, from cheering on their baseball, football, and volleyball games to sharing in their accomplishments. In 2024, Richie was blessed to become a grandfather for the first time when his son Matt welcomed Asher Charles into the world. If Richie wasn’t talking about his kids, he was talking about his grandson, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
Born to Anthony and Janet D’Aquisto, Richie grew up with his two older brothers, Tony and Joey. Though Tony lived in Minnesota, their bond remained strong, and Richie loved visiting, spending time at the cabin, and making memories together. With Joey, Richie shared a passion for sports and fantasy football, spending countless hours talking, texting, and strategizing. Their Friday nights together—sharing beers, talking sports, and enjoying each other’s company—were a cherished tradition.
Richie was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants, never missing a chance to root for his teams (even when the Giants tested his patience). He also loved hiking, walking his beloved chocolate lab, Charlie - who was spoiled like royalty—and relaxing at the bar to watch a game.
Richie is survived by his parents Anthony and Janet, his children Nick, Matt, and Olivia; his grandson Asher Charles; his brothers Tony (wife Kelly) and Joey (wife Marney); his nephews Dan (wife Alyssa) and Zack; his nieces Alexis (husband Jacob), Gianna, and Josie (husband Seth); and his grand-nieces Violet, Baylor and Miller and grand-nephews Oliver & Beau. He will be remembered for his big heart, his love for family, and his ability to make every moment count.
Richie’s life was defined by love—for his family, his friends, and the simple joys that made him happiest. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
