It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherrill Guarin Anderson, beloved wife, mother, and friend, who left this world on April 17, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on August 1, 1964, in Miami, Florida, to Melverna Pafford Guarin and the late John C. Guarin, Sherrill spent her life devoted to her family and the joys that filled it.
Growing up in South Florida, Sherrill embraced life with energy and joy. She was a cheerleader whose outgoing spirit and bright personality drew others to her effortlessly. She loved the beach, where the sun, sand, and ocean reflected her free-spirited nature and appreciation for life’s simple beauties.
Sherrill was married to the love of her life, Bob (Robert) Anderson, for 31 wonderful years. They started their family in Central Florida, raising two beautiful children, Cassidy Morgan and Robert Tyler (Tyler) Anderson. Sherrill stepped away from her career to focus on her family. Her kids were her world and the joy of her life, embodying her purpose as a devoted mother.
Bob’s career carried them from Central Florida to Atlanta, where her love of nature expanded from beaches and sunshine to mountains and waterfalls. She remained a constant source of encouragement, always supporting her family and urging them forward. She was also an enthusiastic dog mom, cherishing her dogs Archie and Abbie.
Sherrill had a vibrant spirit and loved all things bright and colorful. Her home was filled with color and eclectic treasures that caught her eye. She was particularly fond of decorating with butterflies, geckos, hearts, and sunflowers. She poured her heart into her home and loved to share it with friends and family.
Sherrill’s faith in Jesus Christ was a guiding light throughout her life, offering her strength, peace, and unwavering hope. She found comfort in knowing that through Him, we are promised renewal and eternal life. Her spirit, kindness, and love reflected this in the way she cared for others.
Sherrill is survived by her loving husband, Bob (Robert) Anderson; her children, Cassidy Morgan and Robert Tyler (Tyler) Anderson; her mother, Melverna Guarin; her two brothers, John and Jeffrey Guarin; and numerous extended family members on both sides who she cherished greatly. As a middle child, she understood the importance of family bonds and made it her mission to keep them strong.
Sherrill will be deeply missed, but she is no longer suffering in her earthly body. Her love and light will forever remain in our hearts. Just like the beauty of a butterfly and the warmth of the sun, we are reminded that through faith she lives on—lifted, renewed, and at peace.
