Susan was born November 18, 1938 in Warsaw, Indiana.
She graduated Edgewater High School in 1956 and attended Florida State University, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Susan married John R. Jenkins in 1960 they divorced in 1971. She then married Daniel P. McEllhiney in 1976.
Susan had an abundance of energy, some referred to her as the Energizer Bunny. She was strong willed, organized, thorough and quite a perfectionist. She worked as a bookkeeper at Hickory Farms and Landers Construction. She enjoyed fishing and camping at the beach as well as traveling.
Susan's late husband, Daniel P. McEllhiney and her parents, Murray and Lucille Rickel preceded her in death.
Susan is survived by her brother, David M. (Carole) Rickel of Rainbow City, Alabama; son, Jeff (Shari) Jenkins; stepson, Greg (Dale) McEllhiney; grandchildren Ashlee (Marcus) Schnelle, Jason (Rachel) Jenkins, and Rachel (John) Sexton; and great-grandchildren Adelynn Schnelle and Micah Schnelle.
