

Yolande Desir Baguidy, also known as Marie Catherine Yolande Desir Baguidy, of Lake Mary, Florida, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at the Advent Health Hospice Center in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Yolande was born on August 13, 1924 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to the late Emmanuella Najac and Alphonse Desir and was the middle child of three.
In Haiti, she attended École Normale Superieure Business School and studied accounting. After graduation she was employed by Weiner Import and Export in Haiti. She then after worked for College Saint Pierre as an administrator and accountant and then finally to the garment district in New York City where she lived for 18 years. In 1989, she retired and moved to Florida to be with her family.
Yolande was predeceased by her husband, Louis Marcel Baguidy, her son St. Firmin Alix Baguidy, her sister Adrienne Desir Germain and brother Reverend Roger Desir. She is survived by her children, Jean-Robert M. Baguidy and Louise Yolande Charlot, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, daughters in law and countless friends who will cherish her memory.
Yolande lived a full life dedicated to her Episcopalian faith. She was a member of the Altar Guild, the choir and of the Daughters of the King. She helped in the church office weekly and volunteered in many other activities. She loved to listen to christian and classical music, taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing cross stich, playing scrabble, reading, cross words.
A Celebration of Life Service and burial will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm 700 Rinehart Road, Lake Mary, Florida. Masks are required inside the church.
