Arthur Steven Carisoza was born on August 6, 1942, in Santa Ana, California, and grew up in the rural area of El Toro on his family’s ranch. After graduating from Tustin High School in 1961, he drove trucks with his Father at Sheppies Clay Company, until he was drafted into the United States Army serving as a Combat Medic. Upon completion of his military service in Vietnam and returning home, Art found meaningful work with the United States Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) as a Mine Inspector. During this time, Art met the love of his life, Eileen S. Duffy. Art and Eileen married on February 1, 1969.
After 2o years as an inspector, Art started his own company, returning to his early roots in the trucking industry. Art and Eileen settled in Orange, California, where they raised their two children, Art Jr. and Amy. An avid outdoorsman, Art and his family took many trips over the years, fishing, hunting through the Sierra Mountains, horseback riding, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Art found great success in the trucking business and passed his company to his son after the passing of Eileen in 2014 and his retirement in 2016.
Art was reunited with Eileen when he entered eternal life on March 2, 2026. A dearly devoted family man, Art left this world with his children by his side. Art is survived by his son Art Jr., daughter Amy (Casey), and his four grandchildren, Maya, Katelyn, Lauren, and Garry.
