Constance Mendez Cerda, known as Connie, was born in the year of 1922 in Santa Ana, California. She was the daughter of Maria Mendez and the fourth child out of six siblings who she shared a strong bond with throughout her entire life. She had one brother Moises along with four sisters Ruby, Rebecca, Nora and Sara. After leaving Santa Ana High School, Connie worked at an orange and lemon packing house where she met her future husband Juan Cerda whom she had two children with, Angela and Joseph.
Constance was a home maker, but also worked at Goodwill Industries and Wagner Pharmacy. She was known as a loving grandmother to Thomas, Daniel and Sarah and a great grandmother to Vincent. During her life time, Connie had a strong passion for her family and God which she will be remembered for.
