Elizabeth Betancourt Hernandez, 85, of Tusin, California passed away on Thursday June 27m 2019. She was born on November 30, 1933 in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico to Miguel Angel Betancourt and Africa Ortiz.
She was subsequently orphaned at the age of 7 as an only child and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Clemente and Concepcion Ortiz in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
She came to California at age 20 and lived out the rest of her life here. Elizabeth married her husband, Richard Hernandez, on January 13, 1957 and quickly had 4 children; Benjamin, Patricia, Sarah and Jose Angel who, after 40 years has been reunited with his mother. She leaves behind 9 beautiful grandchildren and 12 precious great grandchildren.
Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of a loving and generous heart, a beautiful smile and a great love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends and family with gather for a viewing Friday July 5th 5pm - 9pm at Fairhaven Memorial Park. A private Graveside service will be held Saturday morning on July 6th followed by a Worship/Memorial Service for all her family and friends at 11:000 a.m. Calvary Chapel of Tustin, 1500 E. 17th Street, Santa Ana.
