With great sadness, we announce the passing of our father George Kidwell Mount, Jr. On August 19, 2021 he passed away next to his loving wife of 57 years.
George was born on March 25, 1945, in Alexandria, Virginia where he and his family lived until he was 15. His family then moved to Torrance, California where he went to high school and met Sandra Lee Nelson who became his wife on September 19, 1964. George worked at Mobil Oil Corporation as a welder for 20 years where he initially retired in 1987. George and Sandy raised a family of two sons in Westminster, California. George loved to play and coach football. He coached both of his sons for many years. He loved playing the guitar and singing. He had a great love for animals. George dedicated his life to providing for his family and always making them feel safe. He lived his life with no fear and had incredible faith in God.
George is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his two sons: Ken (Chrissy) of Orange, CA, Eric (April) of Crescent City, CA, his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
George will live on in our hearts and keep us safe by watching and praying over his family. We take comfort that he is no longer in pain and is now resting in peace with our Lord. Thank you for being a great dad. We love you Pops!
