Jose “Pepe” Suarez, 72, of Santa Ana, CA, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Jude Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, August 24 at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705. Burial will follow after the service. Pepe was born March 19, 1965 in Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico to Jose and Teresa Suarez. At the age of 19, Pepe came to the US to work as a cook and then later joined the construction industry. He retired twenty-three years later. He married Imelda Trujillo in 1967. He was widowed after her passing in 2001. He was an avid cook, grill master, handy man, and loved watching boxing matches and spending time with family and friends. Pepe is survived by his four daughters, Patricia, Laura, Gabby and Michelle, son-in-laws, Frank, Robert, Ted, and Johnny, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and five sisters and four brothers. He will sorely be missed by all those that knew him.
