

Juan’s life journey began on November 12, 1956, in Los Linderos, Chiautla Mexico. Juan was the third child of 6 siblings. Raised by his beautiful mother Faustina Sandoval Martinez and father Andres Quiroz Cantoran in their home located in Nezahualcoyotl Mexico. Juan began working at a very young age of 10 selling oranges to help his mother and father. As a young teen Juan also worked with his mother and father in their family business selling gravel, wood, barbacoa, and Gelatina’s and they would also harvest corn. And when times were rough and his mother didn’t have money she would give him a few centavos so he can go play a game called el Tacon. He was really good playing this game he would always come back with enough money to be able to go in the bus to pick up his father to buy groceries.
On April 25th 1982, Juan married the love of his life Margarita Perez Espinoza in Chiautla de Tapia, Puebla. After Juan and Margarita married, they had their first offspring in Mexico, unfortunately Ricardo passed away only 3 days after being born. Shortly after they migrated to the United States in March 1983. They established in Santa Ana, California and began their journey to save money aspiring to one day have their own business. Juan along with Margarita and Nephew Arturo where one of the first in the family to migrate to the United States to achieve the American Dream. Once he was stablished here, he then helped many many family members to also come the states and was able to help them with jobs and a place to live and he would teach them how to drive. In 1985 he then had his first child Cindy followed by Wendy then came Susan, Robert and finally Elizabeth AKA “el pilon”.
In 1998 their dream of owning their first catering truck became true. With dedication and hard work they were able to expand their business and had a total of 3 catering trucks. El Taco Riendo Catering was one of Juan’s passions in life! During this time he made many many friends, he was then given the nickname “El Chaparrito.” By his friends.
Everyone Loved Him. Juan was always willing to help anyone that needed anything whether it was help fixing a car to money. Friends and family knew they could always count with him, he helped his siblings by babysitting many of his nieces and nephews. he was also given the nickname “El Chamaquito” by his uncles and family members.
Juan’s Biggest passion was his wife and his children. He was a dedicated father, he was known for always having his diaper bag very organized and well stocked with everything and anything that might be needed. He Loved making memories and taking pictures with his children. He was a stay home dad for a few years due to a back injury. During this time, he created unforgettable memories that forever live in the hearts and minds of his children, nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters. He would play with them, take them to the park, Disneyland, family gatherings, birthday parties, the swap-meet, TJ, and many more adventures. Another passion/hobby of his was buying many many cars. He loved fixing them and specially the countless trips to the junkyard, due to this the family also gave him the nickname “Juan Garavato” compra caro y vende barato because he would invest money in the cars and if a family member needed it he would sale it to them for less than what he invest into it. This goes to show what type of person our Father was.
In his most current private life, Juan enjoyed listening to music and driving down to Tijuana with his wife going on food ventures and he loved traveling back to his hometown Huehuetlan El Chico Puebla. His favorite music artists were, Los Caminantes, Los Yonics, La Sonora Dinamita, Diego Tovar, Los Bukis, Acapulco Tropical, Los Angeles Azules and many more.
He is survived by his 2 sisters Patricia, and Maria and 6 brothers Felix, Francisco, Rene, Juan, Miguel and His wife Margarita and their 5 children; Cindy, Wendy, Susan, Robert, and Elizabeth and his 17 grandkids; Anthony, Crystal, Sandra, Rachelle, Emily, Jasmine, David, Erick, April, Julian, Ricardo, Alissa, Robert, Ailina, Edward, Jayleen, Jayden, and 2 great grandchildren, Noah, and Shayne and all his many many nieces and nephews.
Juan will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. He was very kindhearted and was an amazing human being. We will never see you again my Chaparron, but I know you will continue to guide us and watch over all of us.
