Larry Duane Schutz

Larry Duane Schutz was born June 17, 1936 in Macksburg Iowa to Doyle and Alice Schutz. He passed away at 86 years old on February 22, 2023 in his home in Tustin, CA. Larry is survived by his wife, Janice Kay Schutz; two daughters, Loree and Vickie Schutz and his sister Carmene James.

As a young man, Larry joined the Army Reserves, took flying lessons and studied business. He spent 50 years working as an accountant.

Larry and Kay were high school sweethearts and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary May 25th. They enjoyed traveling together on cruises and going to Hawaii where he loved to try new adventures.

Larry was a kind, quiet, sweet, simple, caring, humble man who loved spending time with his family. He spent most of his free time in the garage fixing things, working in the yard and tinkering with the cars. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing the lotto and food. He loved home-style country food with gravy. Don't get me started on dessert!

Larry did not say a lot, but he paid attention. The little comments, smirks and smiles said it all. He would do anything for his family and never ask for anything in return. We were so lucky to have him in our lives. He will be so missed.
