Matilde Blas, desde muy joven lucho para formar un hogar estable y productivo. Su mirada siempre se dirigió hacia el progreso de su hogar. Estuvo dispuesta a recibir y motivar a sus familiares y amigos a superarse individualmente. 
Una mujer de Dios que nos inspiro a caminar y luchar por nuestros ideales y confiar en el amor y providencia de Dios. 
Fuerte, guerrera, valiente sabia, emprendedora reconoció que sus cualidades venían de su Creador. Disfrutaba cantar y alabar a Dios proclamando su confianza en Dios, su protector. 
Matilde Blas nos deja el legado de la unidad, amor y desprendimiento por el bienestar de los demás. Estar siempre unidos y permitirle a Dios que nos guie y ensene a caminar en El,  ser dadivosos y disfrutar de las cosas que Dios nos ha dado es el legado mas maravilloso que podemos recordar de nuestra madre, abuela, tía, prima y amiga.

Matilde Blas, from a very young age, struggled to form a stable and productive home. Her gaze was always directed towards the progress of her home. She was willing to receive and motivate her family and friends to improve themselves individually.
A woman of God who inspired us to walk and fight for our ideals and trust in God's love and providence.
Strong, warrior, brave, wise, enterprising, she recognized that her qualities came from her Creator. He enjoyed singing and praising God, proclaiming her trust in God, her protector.
Matilde Blas leaves us the legacy of unity, love and detachment for the welfare of others. To always be united and allow God to guide us and teach us to walk in Him, to be generous and to enjoy the things that God has given us is the most wonderful legacy that we can remember from our mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.


MAMATIDE, fuiste como una segunda madre para mí. Gracias por haberme recibido en tu casa cuando vine a este país. Recuerdo cuando compartíamos el desayuno juntas en las mañanas y me aconsejabas lo importante que es estudiar para salir adelante. También cuando íbamos al casino y apenas llegando ya te ibas a tu maquina favorita para jugar y no te movías de ahí toda la noche😊 
Por todos esos momentos y muchos más, agradezco a Dios por haberme dado la dicha de haber tenido una tía tan amorosa y comprensiva como tú. 
MAMATIDE, nunca te olvidare y siempre estarás en mi corazón.


Memories with my sweet mom!  Many of them! The one I love the most the ones with my children! In the hospital Coastal C. hospital  when my Rose born! Gigi, little Wally, and mama Tide.  Came to the hospital,to visit me. watching the baby  tru the window, the Nurse hold  her.  And Gigi lifted up Wally , to see baby Rose ,Years later  with Karina, at Kaiser  hospital. She was with me in my difficult times, giving me a hand, walking from one daughter’s house to the others , helpings with their children  and other duties, occasionally  We deserve some fun!! Karina,Mom and Me went to Hawaii !! And more!! Had a great time! She enjoyed traveling, Also  Pechanga, Casino 🎰 !! Her favorite entretenimiento “ I will always keep keep Her in my heart,❤️Until my mind gets weak , I will continue follow Her positive attitude in life! She is my Hero Her dream came true when She first arrived into this beautiful Country! And was so eager to get a job and be able to support her self and husband ! God bless You ! Mom and thank You! For your  unconditional love ❤️ 🙏🏼☺️

Thank you all for coming to the funeral of my beloved grandmother who in my opinion was one of the strongest women and affectionate person who I have ever met in my life. I remember the stories she would tell me about how she didn't cower in fear as she was being robbed in Peru, by the way, she actually fought back against them. I also remember when I was a kid we were walking back from the Big Saver market with Abby. I recall we were crossing the street and out of nowhere a fast-moving car hit her head ones and she actually took the full brunt force of a car that was going more than 40 miles per hour. I remember when Abby and I saw her fly approximately 4 feet in the air. She picked herself up from that with no physical injures which is actually a miracle. I also remember that she would always carry heavy groceries when we were coming home from the market. I couldn't help her since I was a kid who wasn't as muscular or strong as tio Lucho, tio Kike, tio Simon, and tio Martin. I wanna thank her for picking me up from school every day back in my elementary school days, and for making me breakfast and dinner, and for keeping me and Oscar company. I really wanted you to see me graduate from college with my bachelor's degree and I taught you will be able to meet the girl who would become my wife someday. I hope you Rest in Peace, I will always remember you, and thanks again for thinking of me in your final days. I hope when I see you again, when I die peacefully from old age, I hope I can tell you that I have accomplished my goals in life. I expect also to eat your tamales again with you, Oscar, and my grandfather. Love you grandma Mamatide.

There is no doubt  in my mind that death is one of the hardest things for many people to accept. For me, definitely it is. Not long ago I had the misfortune of loosing my baby brother to covid 19. Then,  a little later, a dear friend of mine, also died; now mama tide is dead.  What a pity!  If it were not for the great hope that is in my heart, the resurrection day, my sadness would be inconsolable.

Mama tide, a lady whom I met and knew for more than 60 years, was a fantastic person with a unique personality. She was always kind to everyone.  Even when she was angry, she treated people with kindness.

REST IN PEACE MAMA TIDE !!!

Hoy quiero extender un abrazo a toda la familia, mientras pido a Dios que su consuelo, fortaleza y paz llene sus vidas en estos momentos difíciles.
