Robert A Almquist

Born January 5, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA. He attended grade school and high school in South Gate and additionally worked in the family dairy business doing various duties. Robert (Bob) wiggled his way into the Army Air Corps at 17 years of age in 1944 to serve his country. In 1949 he met Marjorie (Holly) Teahan and they married the same year. The next six years produced three children, Robert, David and Alison. Bob spent the greater part of his working career in the aerospace field as a sales engineer. After 52 years of marriage Holly passed away in 2002. Several years went by and Bob met Marie Beck in La Mesa. They were later married and enjoyed their years together. Bob was an accomplished man and devoted to his family. His example of humility, generosity and kindness truly defined his character. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Marie, sons Robert and David, and multiple family members who loved and cared about him.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Lantern Crest Senior Living (The Plaza) Chapel: 300 Lantern Crest Way Santee, CA 92071 (619) 258-8886
