Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy Stein (Boyer). He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Stein, and Richard's wife, Carol, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Roger served his country in the U.S. Navy, Reserves, and the U.S. Forestry Fire Department. He grew up in Laguna Beach, California, where he developed a passion for surfing. His love for wood working, backpacking, and camping was well known among his family and friends.
Roger was loved by all he met and will truly be missed.
A committal service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park, followed by celebration of life gathering Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
