Born in Caldwell, Idaho, she attended the College of Idaho and taught school in central California before moving to Santa Barbara where she met and married Edward Leisy Corlett.
They soon moved to Orange County where she was a homemaker and active volunteer. One of her volunteer efforts was for the Newport Beach chapter of the National Charity League, where she became the President and actively involved in funding the John Tracy Clinic for Preschool Deaf Children.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edward Corlett, and is survived by her daughter, Deborah Corlett (Dave Whitehead) of Windsor, CA, her son, Cleve Corlett (Debby Corlett) of Williamsburg, VA, grandchildren David Whitehead, Pearce Whitehead, Bryce Corlett, Emily Corlett, and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on March 7 at 11:00 at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary.
