Tom lived with his growing family in the Pacific Northwest and, then in Hawaii, before finding a permanent home in Orange County in 1967.
In 1978, he married Beatriz Tobon (later divorced/annulled), and converted to Catholicism. Tom was raised a Christian and before his eye sight deteriorated frequently read the Bible. He questioned how things worked and the mysteries of life. He lived the life he was given with grace. He was kind and never carried a grudge.
Tom loved nature and as a young man explored the outdoors. He played the guitar and especially enjoyed country music. Tom also liked growing plants and assembling models.
Tom retired in the early 1990s due to medical difficulties. He lived independently assisted by his four sisters.
He is survived by his sisters Rebecca Ruth Mach (Arthur), Rachel Bronder Cummings (Larry), Diana Bronder Howard (Taine), Deborah Bronder Engelhard (Frederick), two nieces (Michelle Mach and Jenifer Engelhard) and three nephews (Alex Mach, Robert Engelhard and Michael Cummings). He is loved and will be missed.
