Timothy Earl Durkee Sr. Passed away on July 4, 2017 at the age of 79. Timothy is preceded in death by his son Timothy Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Peggy, sons Daniel and Rick, dnl Stephanie, grandchildren Heather, Sabrina, Shawna, and Timothy, great granddaughters Madysin and Zoie. And nieces, nephews, and many friends. Tim was a contract painter when he retired. He belonged to the local union 686 for painters in OC. He belonged to the Calif. Forestry. He served as president to the water company in Lucerne Valley CA. Tim loved racing motorcycles most of his life. In 1974 he set a lands world speed record at Bonneville Salt Flats. He was 1 of 5 to establish the Desert Viper M/C. He raced many styles drag strip, desert, Flat track, and TT. He loved to go fast! After retiring from racing he enjoyed deep sea fishing and boating. Lastly, NASCAR “7 time” was his favorite driver. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m., July 12, 2017 Fairhaven Memorial Park. 1702 E. Fairhaven Ave. Santa Ana, CA 92705 714-633-1402 .
