Val was a lovely person inside and out. She had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She told me something over twenty years ago that I have always repeated.  Although she was going through a difficult time taking care of her husband she said, "You don't have to look far to find someone in worse shape than you are". That was Val...she always saw the positive no matter what was going on her life. I think of that and have shared that sentiment many times over the years and I always, "As my friend Val would say..."

Rest easy dear Val...l will always keep you in my heart.
