Yolanda Gomez Fonseca

Yolanda Gomez Fonseca, 68, of Tustin, California, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025.

Born on May 5, 1957, in Michoacán, Mexico, Yolanda was a woman of strength, dedication, and deep love for her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Ildefonso Fonseca, and together they built a beautiful life grounded in commitment, care, and community.

Yolanda dedicated 29 years of service to the University of California, Irvine, where her hard work and quiet leadership left a lasting impact. Her warmth, reliability, and grace touched the lives of many colleagues and friends over the years.

She is survived by her loving children: Emily Gonzalez (Daniel Gonzalez), Julian Fonseca (Denise Yglesias), and Edward Fonseca. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughters: Jocelyn Gonzalez, Madelyn Gonzalez, Emma Gonzalez, and Alivia Fonseca. Yolanda’s memory lives on through her devoted brothers: Gustavo Gomez, Rafael Gomez, and Clemente Gomez.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., and graveside service at 11:30 a.m.

Yolanda will be remembered for her unwavering love, quiet strength, and the deep pride she took in her family. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
