Daniel Lee Blaylock Jr.

Daniel Lee Blaylock, Jr. was born in Santa Clara, California on Tuesday, October 10, 1967. He graduated Independence High School in San Jose, Ca. He continued his education at Suffield University in Oregon where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business. Daniel had an immeasurable passion for his family and his sports. Throughout his life he shared his passion for sports with everyone he loved by taking them out to a park to throw a round a ball, to a diamond to hit some baseballs, or to a basketball court to get in a game or even play H-O-R-S-E. His teams were always the Raiders, whether they were in Oakland to Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent his life in the service of helping others. Listening and guiding others is what made him whole and a beautiful soul. He is survived by his Mother, Rebecca Olachea-Segura and his father, Daniel Lee Blaylock, Sr.; his sons Justin Blaylock, Hunter Blaylock, and Jorryn Blaylock; His sister Michelle Segura and brothers Kevin Blaylock and Kirk Blaylock; and his nephews Robert Wartenbe, Brandon Jackson and Brett Jackson; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. We will celebrate Daniel’s life, and all that he meant to us, with Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd. in Santa Clara, California.
