My message to David.

Dearest Friend David,  You left this world quietly just as you were in life.  I was unable to locate a eulogy or publicly given thoughts.  I reached out for answers and realize you had a number of caring and loving friends.  I now know your life in the recent past.  

My eulogy for David Palmer

I met you in November of 1995 and last spoke with you in October 2008 when  I told you I was getting  married.  You  simply wrote back ,  "My sweet Susan, all I want is for you to be happy".  

It's a better world because you were here for 75 years.  You will be remembered for being the ultimate teacher, which you did with gentleness and humor.  You'll also be remembered for your eloquence,  your charm and ability to soften rough edges in people.   You had style, grace and intelligence.  You were handsome, rather regal.  Yet, when you were complimented for these attributes, you'd say, "Oh poo".

Thank you for your years of friendship, for all I learned from you and for the good times we shred.  You will be missed,  Susan
