My heart goes out to the family.  Blessings, prayers and love to you all.  I was fortunate enough to meet  on several occassions Giuseppe and Pompilia and they were such a delightful couple that I never forgot them and the laughs we shared. Nancy and I had the pleasure of sharing Joe's home for close to three years. We became two more members of his large and ever growing family. In turn, we also became a part of almost all the wonderful family occasions and celebrations. 

We remember him as a most generous, charitable and kind person. His sense of discipline in all that he did is a lesson that we cherish and try to emulate. The love he had for every one of his family was phenomenal. And who can forget his hearty laugh, the sound of which will continue to resonate and echo in our memory.

Good bye, Joe. You were the best. Rest in peace.

Poppo would come to the restaurant like a little ray of sunshine. He exuded love, compassion, and joy for life that shines through his loved ones.

My daddy where do I start the most caring thoughtful man I know. when he entered a room with his beautiful smile the place would light up. He is in heaven dancing with my mom playing cards with his loved ones saying take it easy. Oh man was what he said when he wanted to make us laugh. I will miss him everyday his laugh his smile and so much more. Daddy RIP with all the angels there with you. I love you with all my heart and soul. ❤

I can still hear his laugh and see his beautiful smile that lit up any room.  My Papo was always a breath of fresh air, the calm after the storm, and the heart of our huge Italian family.  From him and Nonna I learned "their" Italian language and  how important family tradition is. I will always be thankful for my Papo and my Nonna as they were ALWAYS there for me no matter what. I love you Papo!

I will always remember Joe Martignetti,  his smiling face, his good sense of humor.  A 99yr happy man full of grace and integrity.  Even I knew Joe for only a short period of time but his life and legacy had touched my life tremendously. I miss YOU my Dear Friend. Heavens rejoice they regain another humble angel.

There are no words that can describe what a great man my Zio Pepo was. He had charm, wit, wisdom, and a love for his family that was endless. I thank God that this man was a part of my life. Heaven has been blessed with a new angel and his memories will live on in my heart.

My beloved Father you don't know how you lighted up our life even though we were miles apart you were always on my mind when you left this world part of me went to you, you're soul is gone but your sprint will live forever, Dad you were my rock heaven is getting a beautiful angel, WE LOVE YOU DAD.

I can still see Joe smiling, sitting outside in the sun on the porch where I last saw him. That's how he'll always stay in my memory - full of happiness, even at 99 years old. My love to the entire Martignetti family at this hard time of loss.

Even though he was 99 years old, I never thought this day would come. Nonno was our rock, the patriarch of our family, the constant. He was larger than life, and a giant in our hearts. A man who loved his family more than anything - and I hope during his last few weeks, we showed him that love back. We were all there  by his side, expressing our love, gratitude for the family he built, and traditions he gave us. Family, food, and laughter - that was Nonno, with a twinkle in his eye and a big smile on his face, he will be deeply missed.

Papa Martignetti, I did not know you personally,  only through Marianne and  her photos of you but you went right into my heart. Would have loved to hug you and see that smily face in person but  Heaven does take special deliveries so here is a huge, warm, loving hug to  you. My deepest sympathies to your family and healing thoughts, may God support you in this difficult period.

San Jose is a little darker with the passing of Compare Joe. He was like a starburst of light wherever he went. He made people smile, he made people laugh.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Martignetti family, our friends for over 50 years.   God bless you all. RIP, Compare Joe.
