Herbert Gale Hickam

Known as Gale to his family and friends, he grew up in Hayward, CA with his sister Myra and his brother Kenneth. He then moved to Fremont, CA with his loving wife Joann, where they bought their first home and started a family. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years together and were looking forward to 62 when he passed. He is also survived by his sons, Kevin and Kurt, their wives Nadya and Michelle, and grandson Tyler.

At the age of 13, he started working in the construction industry as a Hod Carrier in the stucco trade, until he retired at the age of 62.

In retirement, Gale and Joann moved to Sun City West, AZ where they lived life to the fullest. He learned to play golf, developed wonderful friendships with so many amazing people, and travelled the world with family and friends.

He lived a long, exciting, wonderful life, filled with a loving family and many friends. He will be missed.
