“Mamas”
June 11, 1995 – May 2, 2014
Laurrina Angelique Marquez was born on June 11, 1995 to a very proud mama, Necia Corrine Amelia. She had to wait 17 years to get a baby sister so to hold her over she had her cousins Jacob, Miranda, Gianna and Venessa. They never considered themselves cousins it was always “siblings”. She entered the world dancing to any beat and seemed to never stop. As soon as she was able to speak, she became the center of attention with her impersonations and silly sense of humor. Before she was able to walk she was doing the “Baby Dance” with grandpa Eric which soon led to 6 years of dance academy. She spent every Saturday morning doing the “clean up” dance with Grandpa Pete and Grandma Prances. Then came soccer life. Laurrina played soccer for 10 years, forming friendships and strong bonds with Coach Emilio and the “Superstars”. Anyone who knew Laurrina knew of her obsession of the San Francisco Giants, 49ers, Jordans and Elvis. She enthusiastically cheered on her teams with cousin Joseph and uncle Dave. She tried with all her might to get the entire family “fitted” with Jordans. Necia and Luarrina were a team for 14 years and when Jose Gomez entered their lives, Laurrina accepted him with open arms finally having someone to fill a void. They created special memories together dirt biking, fishing and riding cousin Nico’s horse. Some of Laurrinas happiest times were the annual “Princess” vacations to Disneyland with Nana, Auntie Corina, Mama, Nina Ragina and cousin Miranda. Laurrinas friendships were so important to her, she kept friends from kindergarten till now. As she entered the teenage years she became the queen of selfies wich was fitting as she is gorgeous inside and out. Laurrina had a glow about her that just drew people in. When she was 17 baby sister Isabella was born and Laurrina took on the role of big sister with pride and elegance. They have an instant bond that nothing can break. She was determined to be a good role model for her baby sister. Her most prideful accomplishment was when she completed her high school credits in December 2013. She was extremely excited about accepting her diploma June 6, 2014. Laurrina was tragically taken from us but she is now our “Beautiful Angel” and will never be forgotten.
