Manuel, 83, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Manuel and Mary Almeida Lima and passed away Thursday at his home. Manuel was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He retired from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co. in Sunnyvale. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores Lima and preceded in death by his son Bruce W. Lima. He was dear brother of Dorothy Pereira of Fairhaven, MA and Margaret Lucciarone of West Palm Beach, Florida; brother-in-law of Elena and Joe Ponte of Acushenet, MA, Gloria Adao of Roseville, CA, Cecilia Sykes and Carmen Alfonse both of New Bedford, MA; and the late Anita and Bob Rodriguez of Reno, Nevada; loving uncle of many nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19th from 6 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 N Winchester Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 20th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Justin Parish, 2655 Homestead Rd. Interment to follow in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 111 W St. John St., San Jose, CA 95113 and/or the National Kidney Fnd., 131 Steuart St., Ste. 425, San Francisco, CA 94105.
