Marie Therese Beuselinck was born on January 9th, 1924 in Shanghai, China; Passed peacefully on November 5th, 2014 in Montara, California alongside loved ones. Marie blessed this world for ninety incredible years. While growing up in the French Concession of Shanghai, Marie and her family members were held as prisoners in a Japanese Work Camp during World War II. Once freed, Marie made it to the United States and began her first job working in a factory to support her mother. Soon she met her husband of sixty years, George, and so began the journey of raising eleven children- Marie considered being a mother her greatest accomplishment. Marie was adored by all who knew her; she was a persistent giver and a true believer who could only see the good in others. When Marie faced any challenge life handed her, she became an even bigger lover of the world. Her witty humor and sharp mind stayed with her to her final days; her laughter had a healing quality. Marie often spoke about being excited to be with the angels, without knowing she had been an angel her entire life. She is survived by her three bell brothers, ten children, and twenty-six grandchildren. Marie is meeting her husband George and son Leon in heaven; she will rejoin with her grandchildren Joe Jr. and Robert and her thirteen brothers and sisters. Marie’s tender spirit lives on in us all. A Visitation will be held on November 12th, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary in Santa Clara, California.
