I worked as Bill's delivery boy/assistant at his drug store starting when I was eleven, ending when I was seventeen.   I just happen to be thinking of him this afternoon and decided to google his name and now I've learned he's passed away.  My condolences to his family.  He was a good guy and a good role model for me.   I remember how well liked he was by the customers.   My biggest pleasure at the job:  he let me arrange the posters and advertisements that went in the front window!   Worst task:  I hated dusting the shelves!    My biggest disappointment:  when his famous brother-in-law Merv Griffin once stopped by the store, Bill forgot to come into the back room and get me so I could meet him!   But Bill sure told me lots of great stories about Merv.   My best to his family -- Joe Garrett
