On March 18, 2021, Nancy Lee Valdez received her Angel Wings from God and went to Heaven peacefully, in her sleep. She was born in San Luis Obispo, CA on April 24, 1950 to her amazing parents Alfred Leslie Greig and Mildred Elizabeth Newton. She is survived by her only son, Brian, her daughter-in-law Tressa, her two grandchildren Breanna and Logan, and her siblings, John Greig and Susan Thomas.
Nancy was a shining star, full of life, chatter, and a twisted but hilarious sense of humor. There was not a single person that wouldn’t laugh at her dirty jokes. Humor was everything to her. She absolutely loved and adored her family and is now finally able to rest in peace in Heaven with her husband Ev.
She also loved to write poetry, loved her PJ’s and was fully self-expressed! She loved to bake and would finish off whatever extra frosting that lingered on your plate and Dad’s plate, too. The more frosting the merrier! I will miss her “Fudgie Crunchies” and yellow cake with chocolate frosting, her great lasagna and grilled cheese sandwiches with Velveeta cheese. Most of all, I will miss her hugs and kisses and her loving, consoling voice; she was always inquiring, “Are you OK, did you get enough sleep, how are the kids? She was always patient and kind, the most gentle, loving soul. But watch out! When she wanted something, she got it! Most of the time, I would give in, spoiling her so she got what she wanted. She would smile in contentment, give me a hug and say, “Thanks, Bubb.”
I love you Mom.
Yours Forever,
Brian
