Primitivo Cervantes Valle, known to many as “Primi”or simply “Primo”, of Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2025, at the age of 78. He passed unexpectedly in the place where he lived, retired and loved life, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Primitivo is survived by ex-spouse Anna, daughter Marisol (Mari) Cervantes, son Emmanuel (Manuel) Cervantes, son Roberto (Bert/ Berto) Cervantes, son Ernesto (Ernie) Cervantes and son Alejandro (Alex) Cervantes, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Primitivo was an intelligent, spiritual, kind hearted, hard working, generous & loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to those that knew him best. For those who had an opportunity to talk with him, hang out, make memories, and drink a cold one every now and then…he will surely be missed.
Primo “El Tico Roman de Las Vegas” loved to sing and perform, and it was a dream he chased through his entire life. Surely, he is now singing in heaven alongside the angels. To his family and friends, he was already a super star who loved to entertain with his voice and guitar. He was a tailor for two thirds of his life and worked as a Carpenter for the remainder of his life until his retirement. In between though, he was a jack of all trades. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty, help anyone in need, and did everything he could get his hands on and do. He never knew about electronics or social media until later in life, but when he figured it out, he loved to share YouTube videos on spiritual healing, health, music and everything in between. He was also a big movie buff who enjoyed watching old films, movies, tv shows, sports - especially boxing. But anything that family & friends were watching or doing at the time, he wanted to be a part of. His favorite pastime was simply spending time with his family and loved ones. We can write a book on our beloved Father, our “jefe”, but it would fail to capture the memories, stories, sayings, and all the good he did in his life.
We would like to thank everyone that has poured out their love for Primitivo and to the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary and their staff to make and coordinate all the services.
Visitation for Primitivo will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on Friday, March 28 at 466 N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara CA 95050. Primitivo will be laid to rest at the Calvary-Sacred Heart Cemetery at 1100 Hillcrest Rd, Hollister CA 95023 at 12 PM on Tuesday, April 1.
