Tom was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and was a Korean War veteran. After marrying his sweetheart, Rose in 1953, he moved his wife and family to San Jose, California to join the San Jose Mercury News in 1963.
After 40 years of service in the newspaper business, Tom retired and he and Rose moved to Minden, Nevada before returning to San Jose several years ago.
Tom was a very kind and loving person who loved his family dearly. A practicing member of St. Christopher’s parish in San Jose and St. Gall parish in Minden, Nevada for many years.
Tom is survived by his wife Rose and children Kathy, Mary, Anne and John (Nicole). He was predeceased in death by his son Michael (Susan). Tom also leaves his granddaughters Jennifer, Heather and Elizabeth.
