Dear Baxter Family;
I was so sad to hear about Frank's passing and also so grateful that I've known him for many years. He was a wonderful advisor to me, in particular when I started as brand new executive director of Teach For America in Los Angeles. He never forgot anyone or the work he supported, and always asked thoughtful questions about recruitment of our new teachers, how training was going, and how kids were doing in their classrooms.  His memory and attention to detail were second to none! 

TFA Los Angeles would not be where we are today, and with the impact we continue to have, without Frank's and your family's investment. I will continue to reference his advice, personally and professionally, as it is key to my success as a leader in this work.  

Thank you for your leadership across Los Angeles and beyond. Frank, Rest In Peace. You are already deeply missed by me and so many other leaders across the City of Angels!

I met Mr. Baxter after being hired to teach at Alice M. Baxter Alliance Charter School in 2014. It was my first year of teaching and I was 21. Mr. Baxter believed in me. He inspired my  passion to support English Learners and to invest in them with all of my might. Mr. & Mrs. Baxter had my family and me over for dinner at their home and that began a wonderful friendship. I am so grateful to have known him. What an incredible legacy he has left.

With deep appreciation for all he gave to Uruguay, and for the leadership and inspiration he offered to the United States Embassy team — his humility, generosity, and enduring legacy will be remembered. My sincere condolences to Kathy Baxter and the family.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Frank’s passing.He was truly a gentleman, in   every sense of 
the word.
  A great man, a great life, a great legacy!May he rest in peace.
