Uncle Joe was like a second father to me. He and Aunt Mary were never blessed with children but regarded their nieces and nephews as children. He enchanced my life by giving me my favorite past time tennis. I will look forward to the day when I will see both Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe in Heaven, with all the D'Amelios.

Uncle Joe was like a second father to me. He gave me my greatest past time tennis. He and Aunt Mary never had children, but he treated Patti, Jim and I like his own. I treasure the great memories. Uncle Joe was special to us. We treasured the times he and Aunt Mary came to Poughkeepsie to visit us and take part in our kids growing up and attending various graduations and birthday parties.  We will miss him but know he is with Aunt Mary in heaven.

Uncle Joe was like a father to us. He taught us tennis, chess and badminton. We didn't think of him as much an uncle as a second father. He and Aunt Mary would write their famous monthly letters to us no matter where they were traveling, always keeping in close touch. Their influence on our childhood as well as our married lives will continue to have an impact. 
We will miss you dearly but know that you are happy now being with Aunt Mary in heaven.

It was a great honor to serve and take care of Joe these past 5 1/2 yrs.  His last wishes were just to go HOME to Heaven to be with his loved ones and I know that is where he is now.  I am looking forward to watching him and Edna play Tennis someday there, but till then I will greatly miss my best friend.
