Jose Pablo Casillas Hernandez, (Paul), was born October 16, 1940 in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico to parents Jose Silva Hernandez and Maria Casillas Hernandez. He was the fifth eldest in a family of four boys and four girls. He is survived by two sisters, Dolores and Linda, two brothers, Ruben and Daniel and eleven nephews and nieces.
Paul met Carmen and together they had four sons, Peter, Paul Jr., Jaime and Rudy along with nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
He had an interest in cars and from an early age began customizing cars. In time he opened his own car upholstery shop in El Centro, California. Later in life he became a deliveryman for the Pioneer French Baking Company.
One of Paul’s finest attributes was his ability to make others laugh with his delightful wit, which often derived from plays on words.
Towards the end of his life, he befriended Lily, a Maltese poodle whom he called “Chiquis”, and remained his companion until his untimely death on July 31, 2023.
Paul will be missed.
