

Theresa Elizabeth Stewart, 88, of Pacific Palisades passed away at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on September 10, 2013. The daughter of Ernest and Mildred (Beckley) Ferrini, she was born in White Plains, New York. She moved to Santa Monica with her family in 1936. She graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1943, and in 1945 married Charles Warren Stewart, Jr. She and her husband built their home in Pacific Palisades in 1950, and she was a beloved fixture in the community for many decades afterwards. She was involved in the Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church and Palisades Charter High School. In addition, her many years of service to and friendship with Fire Station 69 led to her proudly riding the fire truck in local July 4th parades. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, and by her two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hause, her son-in-law, Jeffrey Hause, and by her grandsons, Jonathan and Alexander Hause, all of Omaha, Nebraska; by three nieces and a nephew, and by many close friends. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, at the Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church.
