Lucy Dominguez

Lucy was born in Santa Paula to Genaro and Valeria Villegas on January 24, 1916. She worked on the assembly line for Heubling Packing House for many years and also became the company nurse. She love to shop, work on her crocheting and embroidery as well as cooking for her family. She was a member of the Lady's of the Golden West organization. She was also a member of the Golden Girls Club, a group that met monthly to celebrate numerous birthdays.

Lucy was married for 64 years to Refugio Dominguez and together they had three children, Gilbert (deceased), Barbara, and John.

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Refugio, her son Gilbert, her siblings, Ben, Frank, Patricia and Jenny, and two grandchildren, Daniel Moreno and Ronald Dominguez.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Barbara (and Manuel) Moreno, her son, John (and Dolores) Dominguez as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held for Lucy on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula Street, Santa Paula.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 427 N. Oak Street, Santa Paula with a burial to follow at Santa Paula Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary.
