Andrew James Murray, born November 22, 1927 in Bronx, New York died December 24, 2014. He moved to Sarasota in 1977 from New York after serving 25 years as a NYPD officer. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, son Andrew, daughter Barbara Grier all of Sarasota and daughter Patricia Gutberlet Tampa, FL. and six grandchildren. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. with services beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home, Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014. Burial will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery.
