Ched was educated at Providence County Day, earned his BA from UCLA, and an MBA from Penn State.

He began his business career working for Raytheon before transitioning to the boating industry where he worked for Pearson Yachts, Cabo Rico Yachts, Boca Grande Boats, and later as a boat broker on the West Coast of Florida.

Ched loved his family and friends. He loved his home in Sarasota and adored his dog Rhody. His generosity was never unnoticed and he was always willing to open his heart and his home to anyone. He had a terrific “tongue in cheek” sense of humor and wit and everybody genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. Ched was passionate about life and enjoyed many adventures. He was a life-long sailor and enjoyed living by and being on the water. He was a duck hunter and also a duck lover; especially the wood ducks that nested in his yard. Ched liked to have a good time. He loved eating out and to indulge in a good double martini with olives. He was adored by all and will be missed dearly.
