Jim’s dedication to the construction industry began in his youth, when he worked alongside his uncle in Philadelphia. After Jim relocated to Florida, he continued to pursue a successful career in construction through hard work and perseverance.
He enjoyed his passions of boating, fishing, riding motorcycles, visiting the gun range and most of all his family.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie (Cross) Frederick; his children Carmella (Eric) Backis, James Frederick and Frank (Kristen) Frederick and his cherished grandchildren, (Best Buddies), Elijah, Wayde, Grant and Greta.
He is predeceased by his older brothers Billy Frederick and Tony Frederick and his parents.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 425 S Tamiami Trail in Osprey.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of his favorite charities, Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude.
