Betty over the years has been a member of both Incarnation and St Martha's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her Children, James T. Gillette of Williamsburg, VA, Rosa Lee Zvonik of Sarasota, and Marie Gillette Huskins of Sarasota; grandchildren, Brian Gillette of Williamsburg, VA, Christian Zvonik of St Pete, FL, Patrick Zvonik of Sarasota, and Michelle Lanterman of North Port, FL. Betty had 10 great-grandchildren.
In her recent years, she was a resident at Heartland Health and Rehab and de-veloped many close relationships with members of the staff that she often re-ferred to as adopted grandchildren, several of which who made sure they came to wish her a happy birthday and say goodbye.
A party was held last year to celebrate this wonderful woman's 100th birth-day, what better a celebration of life could there be than that, with she herself in attendance. It was a celebration many will never forget.
Betty passed peacefully after visits on the evening of her 101st birthday with her daughter Marie by her side and with all of her family present in their hearts. ... God took her home, where no doubt an abundance of family and friends were waiting to greet her and give her a heavenly celebration! Thunder was heard that night and we knew, the party was still going on. Much love till we are together again.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL.
