Condolences to your entire family. John was always kind, courteous, and caring when I saw him (and Fran) on the Pickleball court, mostly at Colonial Oaks but other places as well. He was always fun to play with. 
I’m sure your grief at his sudden loss is so deep. May God comfort and uphold you and give you peace.

We have been neighbors of John and Fran for many years. They are both wonderful neighbors and friends. They are a family that have lived their lives serving the lord and others. My condolences to the family for the loss of a dear husband and father. John will be very much missed. He was a kind and lovely man. Always had a smile a helping hand and kind words. There will be a void in our neighborhood. May gods blessing for John and the family 

My grandmother (Eve Lambert) would always say that Johnny was her favorite nephew, and I understand why. It was a blessing having Johnny Marx as a cousin. 

My very first memories of Johnny and Frances were attending their annual Christmas parties, when they would open up their home to family and friends, and love on everyone who walked through their front door. Johnny would ask me to play piano and Frances would serve the cheese pastries non-stop. You could simply feel the love of God the moment you stepped into their home. I never wanted to leave those parties.  

He treated everybody in his life as family. For instance, even though he was technically family on my father’s side, it was not uncommon to find Johnny having lunch and spending many afternoons at my maternal grandparent’s (The Jomarrons) home. In fact, when my grandfather was battling cancer, Johnny would come over daily to pray for him.

My mom (DJ Lambert) and I fondly remember his kind words, his smile, his advice, his calm demeanor, and his radiating love. He truly was one-of-a-kind. While we are heartbroken over our loss, we find solace in knowing that he is in the loving care of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

My wife Carole and I met John playing pickleball at Longwood  community center in Sarasota.  We loved playing with and against him...he was always smiling and friendly and always a great sport! There will be many who will miss him, and we are among them. Peace, John. And prayers of comfort to his family, who he spoke of with much love, always.


Though I only saw John once a year for 10 years, the positivity lasted from year to year.  Like a strong ray of bright light, that never extinguished, and I will look for it still in the sky forever. Zig (SigmundGlaser)

John you will be greatly missed by not only myself and family but your fishing buddy Paisley. Watching you fish was a highlight of her day or to see you peaking out the blinds. (She’d say Mr. John is peaking again, can I go see him) more times than not I told her no and now I wish I hadn’t. It’s not the same coming home each day and not seeing you outside doing what you loved. I’m blessed to be able to say I knew you. No matter what you always had a smile on your face and always had a listening ear when I needed to talk along with having great advice and helping me to understand some of the difficulties in life. I will forever treasure the conversations we had. Though they weren’t always easy you always had a way of helping me understand. I’m going to miss you coming over and checking on us and to see the projects I was tackling. I wish you could see the finished product. You were so proud of me for not giving up. I will forever look at the patio set and be reminded of you telling me to keep pushing on. You will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly.

John was my brother and I loved him and I will miss him so much. Growing up he was 15 years older than me and always called me Sissy. He made me feel so special and adored. Go rest high on that mountain next to Mom, Dad, your brother Frank and your baby sister Maryann, until we meet again sweet brother. I love you.

I feel blessed to have had John and Fran as neighbors, because it gave us the opportunity to be friends. John has always been so very friendly and genuinely interested in everyone he came in contact with. He always had a smile to offer and kind words of encouragement. He has a special place in both mine and my husbands hearts. Not only our hearts but my sons as well. My son saw John as a grandfather figure in his life. They would always stop and say hello, and spend time under that old tree in the front yard, just talking about life. I am truly grateful for the time we have shared in Johns life. My prayers go out to Fran and his entire family.  John is such a sweet, gentle man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
