

Lewis Rozolis, 88, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Staten Island, New York, passed away on Apr. 25, 2015. Lewis was born on March 22, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Apostolos ("Paul") and Anastasia (nee Chrisomalis) Rozolis. He called Pinestone on Palmer Ranch his home for the past 18 years. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sonja (nee Flack) of Sarasota, FL; his sons, John (Kay) of Langhorne, PA, and Keith (Linda) of Cary, IL; his grandchildren Christine, Stephanie Knauss, John, Alexandra, Erik, Michelle and Christian; his sister Dolores (Chuck) Wigle and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Pauline Vitti, Kay Margetis, Alice Nash and his brother John. After serving in the Navy in WWII, Lewis “Lew” began his career in the Burlap Piece Goods Division of the Bemis Company in 1946. He retired from the Department of Defense in 1996. Lew served for many years as a Board member of Pinestone; loved to dance, play cards, bowl, and travel. In life, his family always came first, and he loved and was loved by many. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral to be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery.
