I remember back at the old Gulfgate Publix when Mike would work he’d always make those he was working with laugh. He had a great smile that he was never afraid to share with those around him. 
There were times he’d come in on a day off  to the deli for cheese for his cheeseburger.  I remember he’d always ask for me to slice it super thick. I always thought it was too much cheese but he said that is what made burgers taste so good was the cheese.
I was just talking to my husband about Mike the other day when I drove past Dutch Valley . Anytime I pass there I would think of him.  R.I.P Mike! Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Rest easy Mike!! Such a kind soul to loose to early. From being there for me when things got tough, and to all of the run ins we had over the years. You will be missed by so many! 

I met Mike 29 years ago.  My heart broke when I found out about his passing. 
Mike was a very eloquent person.  Wherever we'd go he always stopped to talk to someone,  whether he knew them or not. He was such a people person.
He would do anything for anyone and was always offering to help in any way he could.   He never asked for anything and was more concerned that everyone else was taken care of. He was such a hard worker and always tinkering around on car. 
I'll never forget us blaring music by Lords of Acid in his Camaro driving around Sarasota. One time the hood of his car flew off in the middle of US41 and he casually pulled over, 
walked back a quarter of a mile,  picked up the hood,  and carried out back to the car! I laugh remembering 
the sight of that!!
 Whenever we'd go out to eat,  he'd always order a cheese burger with extra cheese and  ketchup only, with fries, unless it was Long John Silver then he'd order the chicken with extra "crunchies" which were the tiny fried pieces of the batter that were in the bottom of the pan!
We just met for lunch last month and we meant to take a picture together, but forgot and he said, "next time".. I am so sad that there won't be a next time. 
Mike and I shared a love for Halloween! My birthday is in October and he always made sure to call me every year on my birthday.  I'm really going to miss those calls. 
I am praying for his family,  children, and friends to find comfort and peace during this difficult time. 
I find peace knowing he's in heaven with Ted and in God's loving arms

I don't ever remember seeing him without a big smile on his face such a good person sad he is gone

I remember Mike he worked alongside my dad and was always so funny we always called him jay and silent bob. Everytime I’d see him we always crack jokes :( gonna miss you buddy. 

My Deepest and Most Heartfelt Sympathy goes out to Mike's Family. He was a loving and Dedicated Father. Always there for his Children. May God Bless You All, and bring you a comforting peace and strength to endure the pain of living without him. Love and Hugs to all of you from my heart 💙

For almost 20 years I had you by my side!!! You was the 1 person I could go to for anything!!! You showed me what love truly meant!!! I remember the 1st time I met you like it was yesterday it was right after I turned 16 and started working at Burger King you was such a pain in the ass that day!!! It took you years of trying to take me out before I gave in and we went to the beach for hurricane Charley!!! I never expected for you to change my life as much as you did!!! I will be forever grateful for the love you gave me and for our family!!! I promise to always show our kids and granddaughter the love you showed me!!! You will never be forgotten!!! XoXoXo

I'm going to start by saying my kids have known Mike for 13 years. I frequented a shop he worked at and he would always say hi to my girls. Funny part is they called him "dirty Mike" as he was such a hard worker and was not afraid of hard work. He would do anything for his family and of course his Wendy!!! My own kids are having a hard time with his passing along with ever one else. All my love to you all. We will miss "dirty Mike " per my kids nick name lol.

Dear Nikki,
I had the awesome responsibility of taking care of your Dad Michael & Aunt Nicole when your Grandparents traveled from Yardville to Sarasota to look for their forever home.  I had just started community college & was going to be full time babysitter, 24/7.  Michael was in grammar school & Nicole was a toddler, and spent the day with a sitter.  Days were ok, but dinner was interesting: Michael’s food interest was limited- hot dogs, spaghetti or pasta & red sauce with meatballs…
Wow! I tried to offer other options, no go.  So we kept dinners basic.
Fast forward quite a bit, and Michael brought you to visit us at my parents’ house. YOU we’re now the toddler, and Michael & I talked endlessly about his ‘inner Chef’ had FINALLY come out, that he was cooking and experimenting with all kinds of food! I was so excited to hear him talk about his discoveries and he was excited about what he was learning!!!  We didn’t see each other much over the years, both busy raising families, but I always enjoyed those conversations with him!❤️

Mike was one of  my first friends that I met when I moved to Florida. I was 12 and he was 14. We became very close back then, he use to ask my mom if it was okay if he took me to the end of our road to get ice cream at Big Olaf. Of course she said yes. So for years that was our daily ritual to go get ice cream. We kept in contact for many of years and then we both had different lives. Just recently he came into my work not knowing I was working there and it was like we didn’t skip a beat. Our daughters have been best friends since elementary school. Anytime either one of us would see each other’s daughter we asked about one another. Our friendship was one of a kind. He was like a big brother to me. He was a great guy who everyone loved upon meeting him. He loved his kids and was always so proud of them. Caitlyn I am always here if you need anything at all. 

I am writing this with a broken heart. I met Mike years ago when he was paying a ticket at the Clerk's office. Discovering that we lived on the same street as his parents, Mike would stop by often for a few words, mostly joking about cars, or to introduce us to one of his children - beautiful family. Mike was a loving father; his children were his priority.  It saddens me never to see that smiling face on the street or at the store where he worked.  We will remember the boy that turned into a man.  You will be missed.
