Juanita y familia. Desafortunadamente por situaciones de trabajo no pudimos acompañarlos en la celebración de la misa de Nélson, pero lo estamos haciendo de corazón. Muchos recuerdos, Ramiro y Nadevza.

My thoughts and prayers are with Juanita and Chris at this really difficult time. I was a neighbor and friend to Nelson and Juanita for many years in Huntington Pointe. From the moment I met Nelson, he was always so very kind and helpful to me … I remember renting out a room in my home to a college student, and the day he arrived, the hot water in his shower stopped working! I called Juanita and Nelson came right over, fixed my shower and literally saved the day! There were plenty of other similar instances - he was always so kind, unassuming and had such a wonderful sense of humor. I will miss him. ♥️

Para mí querida hermana Juana y sobrino Christopher nietos Alex y David.mis mas sentido pésame en la pérdida de nuestro querido Nelson. Solo tengo gratos recuerdos de Nelson, su simpatía , buen humor y excelente bailarín . Adiós cuñadito , con mucho cariños Janet y Willy.

Very fond memories of the Munoz house in West Bloomfield.  There was always a house full of kids laughing and enjoying life. I always enjoyed when Nelson would answer the door with his huge smile and subtle laugh. Juanita and Nelson always offered a welcoming home, no matter who you were. Rest in Peace Nelson.  Big hugs to Juanita and Chris.

As I’m very emotional and sorry for the Munoz family and this sad news, I felt compelled to share a couple fond memories of "Mr. Munoz". 
As a teenager, I spent a lot of time at the Munoz's house.  Chris and I would be up to whatever and any time I was at their home at 5pm, Juanita would be serving a delicious homemade dinner for the family, and I was fortunate enough to be invited to join. Nelson would be at the head of the table and with his seemingly dry & sharp wit, would (kindheartedly) crack a joke about me (in Spanish) which would have the whole table rolling with laughter (except me sitting with a dumb look on my face - I didn't speak Spanish :). | Love it! 
For 8th grade spring break, I was invited to join the Munoz family for a week long trip to Miami to visit family. Nelson drove, I think the whole time. I was ‘back seat with my feet on the hump’, the whole time :) Well, we drove 'straight through' (from MI). I remember abruptly awaking up on I-94 in FL. Juanita was next to me (behind Nelson who was driving). Her hands around his headrest grabbing both sides of his hair - screaming. He was screaming as well which I later surmised was "I'm awake!! I'm awake!!" I looked out the car window to see the hubcaps rolling away from car that was traveling (and bouncing) at a speed of around 70 MPH...we were in the grassy median of the highway! | Best memory ever!! 
I have so many great memories and appreciation for Mr. Munoz and the whole family over the years..

My deepest condolences to Juana, Chris and family.  Nelson was a lovely human. My fondest memory is dancing salsa with him at a family gathering. He was a great dancer, so much fun and a charmer with an infectious smile.  Rest in peace sweet Nelson.
