

From her birth on July 04, 1935 to her death she nourished people around her with love, faith, and encouragement. She was born in Streetsboro, Ohio to Ernie and Melinda Bontrager and was the youngest of four children. From a very early age she learned the value of hard work and servitude. She married Robert C. Miller, on June 23, 1956 in Aurora, OH. They began their life together in Toledo, OH and became active members of Toledo Mennonite Church. Later in life they moved to Wauseon, OH and also had a home in Sarasota, FL. One of her fond memories was celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in New York City with her children. Her interests included family, church, gardening, volunteering, putting together puzzles, and table games. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family which was her joy and passion.
Left to honor Norma and remember her love are her husband, Robert C. Miller; children Denise Miller, Randal (Tracy) Miller, and Annelle (Tony) Mullet; 4 grandchildren; Kelsey (Philip) Nelson, Michaela (Nevin) Blosser, Colton Miller, and Braxton Mullet; and 1 great-grandchild Remington Nelson; a sister, Mildred (Edward) Roth; and many nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald Bontrager, and sister Bertha Steiner. Norma will be remembered for her generosity and giving nature. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 7 at the Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home on S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
